Basis of faith
York School of Theology operates according to a basis of faith, to which all tutors subscribe. This is a short summary of the essential elements of the Christian faith.
One Voice
YST operates under the auspices of One Voice York.
York Minster Library
Students of YST can make use of the Minster Library, located in Deans Park, at the rear of York Minster. The library is an excellent resource for study – and a beautiful place in which to work. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 12 noon on Friday. There is an on-line catalogue, available by visiting http://libcat.york.ac.uk. There is no charge for using the library, but if you wish to borrow books, there is an annual charge of £25.
