Started in 2006, YST is a new venture by churches in York to provide practical Christian training for today.

Student Discount
We offer a 50% discount on all our Short Courses for students, giving them an average cost of £2.50 per session. We offer a £20 discount on our Certificated courses for students, making them £70 per Unit.
Course times and venues
All our courses, unless otherwise stated, start at 7:30. The venues for the courses will be at a variety of church locations throughout York. Please contact us if you wish to know more.
Basis of Faith
York School of Theology operates according to a basis of faith, to which all tutors subscribe. This is a short summary of the essential elements of the Christian faith. Copies of YST’s statement of faith are available on this website.

York Minster Library
Students of YST can make use of the Minster Library, located in Deans Park, at the rear of York Minster. The library is an excellent resource for study - and a beautiful place in which to work. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 12 noon on Friday. There is an on-line catalogue, available by visiting http://libcat.york.ac.uk. There is no charge for using the library, but if you wish to borrow books, there is an annual charge of £25.
