York School of Theology

This year as part if YST’s expansion we are offering to come to visit you in your own church to teach a course to a whole group. We piloted this idea during the 06/07 year with the University of York Christian Union and Global church and following their success are expanding further.

Currently we are offering two of our courses in this way.

1. The Bible in 6 weeks

2. An Introduction to Children’s and Youth Work ( 4 weeks )

CERTIFICATED COURSES

Substantial courses, running across 15 weeks, which can be taken on their own or used to gain the Certificate in Christian Studies from St. John’s College, Nottingham and / or qualifications up to degree level.

New Testament Introduction

Tutors: Francis Scott ( Huntington Team Ministry ) and Mike Askew ( Crossroads Christian Fellowship ). Starting 7th October.

Old Testament Introduction

Tutor: Derek Wooldridge ( St. Michael-le-Belfrey ). Starting 10th february 2009.

New Testament Greek

Tutor: Francis Scott ( Huntington Team Ministry ). Starts daytime in the spring

YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S WORK 

Engage: the National Certificate in Christian Youthwork

Engage is a youthwork training course designed by the Centre for Youth Ministry - a national consortium of Christian youthwork and training agencies.
