Autumn 2009 update

The management group of York School of Theology are taking stock of our current programmes and looking to the future which could bring exciting new developments. In the meantime we will be offering tried and tested courses which have proved their worth over the last few years.

The York School of Theology  is providing three courses this Academic Year (2009-2010):

Introduction to the New Testament – provides a good grounding in a 15 week course.

Starting on Monday 12th October in St. Cuthbert’s Centre, Peasholme Green at 7.30 pm. Cost £100.

Introduction to the Old Testament – provides a good grounding in a 15 week course.

Starting on Monday 8th February 2010 in St. Cuthbert’s Centre, Peasholme Green at 7.30 pm. Cost £100.

By completing the assignments these courses can lead on to the Certificate in Christian Studies from St. John’s College, Nottingham, and ultimately a degree.

The Bible in Six Weeks – an overview of God’s amazing collection of books. Six sessions starting on Tuesday 3rd November at 7.30 pm in St. Cuthbert’s Centre, Peasholme Green. This is a very popular course which has been completed by over 200 people in the last three years. Ideal for new Christians and those who feel they are ignorant of the way the 66 Bible books fit together. It is also a very helpful introduction for those planning to do the Old Testament Course.

Cost £5 per session (students half price).

It helps if you can book a place of your choice in advance of the first night.

Parking in Haymarket Car Park, opposite, free for York residents with sticker.
