YST has a great team of tutors, who combine teaching ability and a breadth of Christian experience in the church here and abroad.

John Wilson

Doug Greenfield, is a longstanding elder of St Michael-le-Belfry, who has led missions as far afield as Mongolia.

Joan Sergeant M.A., Pastoral Coordinator, Spurriergate Centre, York, previously working as a missionary in Afghanistan (Ministry and Mission).

Francis Scott B.A., M.A., team vicar at Huntington, York, formerly a lecturer in Biblical Studies in Kabale, Uganda (New Testament) Francis has now moved on to be the Vicar of the lively church of St Barnabas, Swanland, near Hull.

David Stephens B.D. PhD., a leader of Crossroads Church, Acomb, former head of Garforth Community College (God and the World).

Derek Wooldridge B.A., retired Anglican minister, Chair of York Schools and Youth Trust (YOYO) (Old Testament).

David Goodhew B.A. D.Phil., Vicar of Fulford, York, previously chaplain and fellow of St Catharine’s College, Cambridge (Ministry and Mission) David has recently moved to a new ministry as a Tutor at Cranmer Hall, Durham.

Mike Askew BSc., managing director of Monitor Computer Systems, York and a leader at Crossroads Church, Acomb, York (The Holy Spirit).

Brunel James BA (Cantab) BA (Oxon) MA (Leeds) was a Curate in Bradford, a Rector in Leeds and an Archbishop’s Chaplain in York.

Anna Burr BA (Southampton) MA (Leeds), has a background in student ministry and is the curate of Fulford.
