The 2011/12 Courses
In Autumn 2011 we are running a Bible Overview course of four Saturday morning sessions, beginning with a free launch session:
October 29th: Bible Overview (Mark Powley), free
November 5th: How to Read the Bible (Al Rycroft), £5/£3
November 12th: Key Themes – Kingdom (Al Rycroft), £5/£3
November 19th: Key Themes – Covenant (Daniel Roe), £5/£3
In Spring 2012, Derek Wooldridge will be running his ‘Bible in Six Weeks’ course. The venue, date and times for this course are to be confirmed, but to register your interest, please contact Derek: drw80@btinternet.com or 01904 798393
This course will look at the following topics:
The Life of Jesus – the Gospels
The Acts of the Apostles and their Letters
The Books of the Law: Genesis to Deuteronomy
Under the Judges and the first Kings: Joshua-2 Samuel and the Wisdom Literature
Kings and More Kings: 1 Kings-2 Chronicles and the Prophets
Exile and Return: Ezra-Esther and the later Prophets
Course times and venue
The autumn course will run on Saturday mornings, starting at 9:30am and ending at 12.30pm.
The venue is the Belfrey Hall off Stonegate, in the centre of York.
Timetable
Each time we meet, we will begin by worshipping together, and there will be a presentation (either live or on DVD), a break for coffee and pastries, and a chance to ask questions and discuss in groups.

Who can take the course?
Anyone who wants to deepen their faith and understand the Bible more fully, in order to be more effective in living a life of discipleship. It is ideal for those who’ve recently come to faith and for those who have been Christians for many years. You don’t need to have studied theology before!
Price
Our 2011/12 courses cost £5 per session, or £3 for concessions.
